Savio Rodrigues is the founder and editor-in-chief of the Goa Chronicle. In this must watch video he separates the Christian faith from the institution and corporation that the Catholic Church is and highlights the extraordinary corruption that permeates it today. The Christian faith is under pressure because of the abundance of allegations of sexual abuse amongst simple priests and Church hierarchs in India and the harsh treatment meted out to those who would expose it.

Sexual abuse and corruption in the Roman Catholic Church is not new. It was there in the very beginning. Emperor Constantine brought a thousand prostitutes and dancing boys to the first Christian council at Nicaea in CE325, to keep the visiting bishops entertained during their “holy” deliberations. Read Holy Blood, Holy Grail by Michael Baigent, Richard Leigh and Henry Lincoln.
Another important book of brilliant scholarship on the origins and depravity of the Roman Catholic Church is Joseph McCabe’s The Testament of Christian Civilization. This book is a must read for anybody who is interested in early Christian history.
