Unlimited tolerance must lead to the disappearance of tolerance. If we extend unlimited tolerance even to those who are intolerant, if we are not prepared to defend a tolerant society against the onslaught of the intolerant, then the tolerant will be destroyed, and tolerance with them. India Crossed-Out!
  • Truth Be Told

‘The methods adopted by the invaders have left behind them their aftermath. One aftermath is the bitterness between the Hindus and the Muslims which they have caused. This bitterness, between the two, is so deep-seated that a century of political life has neither succeeded in assuaging it; nor in making people forget it. As the invasions were accompanied with destruction of temples and forced conversions, with spoliation of property, with slaughter, enslavement and abasement of men, women and children, what wonder if the memory of these invasions has ever remained green, as a source of pride to the Muslims and as a source of shame to the Hindus?” – Dr. B. R. Ambedkar

“Bangladeshi intruders will govern Assam soon,” says Chandan Mitra – The Pioneer

Chandan Mitra“Swift increase in population of Muslims in districts of West Bengal and Assam is a serious matter. In Assam, there were 12 districts having large population of Muslims and now the community dominates 27 districts. This population is not of indigenous Muslims, they are Bangladeshi intruders,” said Chandan Mitra

“The Assamese are aggrieved and scared. It is unfortunate that the people have become a minority in their own land. If the matter is not resolved now, migrants will manage to form the government in the State,” he said.

Criticising the previous governments of the State for their carelessness and inability to curb the escalating number of Bangladeshis, Mitra said the present Opposition party led by Badruddin Ajmal in Assam Assembly will be in power.

“The Opposition party in the State Assembly, All India United Democratic Front led by Badruddin Ajmal, which only talks about a particular community, will manage to form the government in Assam. It will be no surprise if the descendants of Ajmal become the Chief Minister of Assam,” the BJP leader added.

Illegal ImmigrantsMitra was speaking during a seminar-cum-open session on ‘Assam Trouble-Cause and Solution’ organised a Delhi-based NGO — Indraprastha Sanjeevni — in the Capital on Thursday. Also present were former DGP of Punjab K.P.S. Gill, former Governor of Assam Lieutenant General (retd) Ajai Singh, former president of Assam Association Ranjit Baruah with several other representatives of organisations of Assam.

Mitra further said the present state is due to the planned conspiracy and Bangladeshi intruders were invited as part of the conspiracy, which should not be taken lightly.

“Swift increase in population of Muslims in districts of West Bengal and Assam is a serious matter. In Assam, there were 12 districts having large population of Muslims and now the community dominates 27 districts. This population is not of indigenous Muslims, they are Bangladeshi intruders,” he said, adding that these unwanted foreign migrants should be identified and deported to Bangladesh after deleting their names from the voters’ list.

India-Bangladesh BorderSpeaking at the seminar, Gill also slammed the Centre and the State Government of Assam saying that ethnic violence there is a well-calculated move.

He said the Centre was fully aware of the condition of the Assamese and did not take any action to stop the intrusion. “Borders were not sealed. Thousands came and encroached upon the land owned by the natives of Assam,” he said.

Former Governor of Assam Singh held China and Russia responsible for the riots in Assam. He said the aim of the two nations is to destabilise the country economically. “Two power leaders of Asia – China and Russia – will not allow India to be economically sound and developed and the violence is a result of their ploys,” he said. – The Pioneer, 23 August 2012
