The Peel Regional Police allegedly demanded $70,000 to provide protection to Hindu groups, sources said. Canadian Hindu organisations have accused the Justin Trudeau government of “abusing their civil rights.” – Manoj Gupta
The administration in Canada is allegedly demanding money from Hindu groups to provide them protection, said top Intelligence sources. Sources said Hindu organisations are upset with the police in Canada for asking for money.
The Peel Regional Police allegedly demanded $70,000 to provide protection to Hindu groups, sources said. Canadian Hindu organisations have accused the Justin Trudeau government of “abusing their civil rights.” “We are also tax payers, why this bias towards us? The Peel Police, instead of addressing our issues, is putting undue pressure on us,” the Canadian Hindu groups said.
Intelligence sources said this has been going on for some time as the administration is under pressure from Khalistani groups to cancel the events of Hindus. “The Trudeau government is under pressure before the Finance Bill to oblige Khalistani groups and his former ally Jagmeet Singh, the leader of Canada’s NDP,” sources said.
“This is for the first time in the world that local police is demanding money to protect minorities,” sources added.
Pannun Threatens Canadian Hindus
This comes under rising threats against Hindus by Khalistani terrorists.
Sikhs For Justice (SFJ) founder Gurpatwant Singh Pannun has announced new dates of temple attacks in Canada and issued an open threat to Hindu MP Chandan Arya, triggering a response from India which termed the actions “terror acts”.
In his threat, Pannun said SFJ would target Indian diplomats at Hindu temples on November 16-17. “We will shake the foundations of Ayodhya. … The Canadian PM, RCMP have acknowledged that Indian diplomats spy on Canadian Sikhs and are responsible for the assassination of Shaheed Nijjar. … NEXT Challenge to Indian Terrorist diplomats will be: 16 November At Kalibari Mandir, Mississauga and 17 November, Triveni Mandir, Brampton.”[sic]
The attacks on Hindu temples began on a large scale in the last one year, including the firing at the house of Satish Sharma, president of Surrey’s Lakshmi Narayan Mandir.
On Sunday, November 3, protesters carrying Khalistani flags clashed with devotees at a Hindu temple in Brampton. The Laxmi Narayan Mandir in Surrey was attacked the same day.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi strongly condemned the “deliberate attack” in Brampton and termed the violence a “cowardly attempt” to intimidate Indian diplomats in the country. “I strongly condemn the deliberate attack on a Hindu temple in Canada. Equally appalling are the cowardly attempts to intimidate our diplomats. Such acts of violence will never weaken India’s resolve. We expect the Canadian government to ensure justice and uphold the rule of law,” said PM Modi in an X post. – News18, 13 November 2024
